Your “Perfect Love” Is Within You…

“Perfect Love” is an illusive concept that many will say doesn’t exist.

I say “Perfect Love” DOES EXIST! And it is closer than you think, you simply need to know where to look.

This magnificent affair began for me when I was very young and grew as I moved toward my teenage years. You may doubt the ability of a teenager to find “Perfect Love” or even to recognize it when it is there. Yet, this was clearly what happened to me. It began as a fascination, an infatuation and I quickly started spending many hours exploring what felt so natural and so good to me.

No, it’s not what you think. It is music and it soon began to consume larger and larger portions of my day. I started to not only appreciate it, I began to play. My guitars come in different shapes and colors and have very different tonal characteristics. Some are made from deep rich Mahogany and others come with brighter sounding woods, like maple and alder. There is no end to the excitement I feel when I have one of them in my hands. There is also an endless possibility of unbelievably cool accessories for them, proving at every turn the abundance of the universe. Items that I can buy for my dear ones that will help them sound smoother, or deeper, look brilliant, or look softer.

Just like with you might prepare for a special night out, I prepare my beloved for a night out at the club, where she can be seen under the lights and heard clearly in all her glory. I lovingly attend to her needs as she gets new strings, some polish and is packed up in her unique case for travel. At the show crowds often cry out with praise and applause, while they encourage her to sing more and not to stop. I feel at one with her and we make such beautiful music together.

Valentine’s day can be a wonderful day of celebration, sharing, and pleasure. But it can also be a difficult day of longing, of remorse, and of loneliness. Tongue in cheek, I want to remind you, “Perfect Love” is within you. It is YOU that has the capacity to touch into that part, the part of you that is always resourceful and always capable. You know what I mean, the place where you lose yourself in the passion of the moment.

When you practice meeting your own needs, expressing your full joy in creation, beaming your creativity, being a perfect listener to yourself…then you become irresistibly magnetizing. You unlock your inherent human capacity to Love and be Loved. In this moment, there is no depending on someone else to give you something or to be something for you, rather it is you that experiences this “Perfect Love” within. Because after all, who knows better than you, exactly what makes you the MOST happy and the MOST satisfied? You guessed it, only you do!!

Sure, you’ll find another person who may love you deliciously, fill your life with drama, share their dreams with you, nag or talk back, inspire and infuriate. This is the wonderful experience of relationship, yet it is also why you better have that “Perfect Love” already in your corner, LOL!!
